Backup WhatsApp Data Using Google Drive

In April, the CEO of WhatsApp Inc, Jan Koum announced the following in his official facebook account:

WhatsApp – now serving 800,000,000 monthly active users. Reminder for the press out there: active and registered users are not the same thing.

It created quite a stir around the web and the mobile world; surely the messaging app was thinking of something new. After successfully launching WhatsApp Calling and WhatsApp Web, the messaging company announced via Google Drive blog post that you don’t need to worry about your WhatsApp chat conversations, video, audio, and images. Yes, now Google Drive backup is available for WhatsApp.

From now on WhatsApp for Android lets you create a private backup of your chat history, voice messages, videos, and images in Google Drive.

And after creating a backup on cloud need not worry about the tedious task of switching to another device. You can restore every image, videos, and other data to the new devices with just a couple of steps. The blog also stated that the new feature will be rolled over the coming months. Just watch your WhatsApp Settings.
